Terms of Use

1. Acceptance & eligibility

By downloading, installing, or using Locked.AI, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live to use Locked.AI. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for them.

2. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Locked.AI on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

• copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app, except as allowed by law;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except as allowed by law;
• rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or distribute the app; or
• remove or alter any proprietary notices.

We and our licensors keep all rights, title, and interest in the Service that are not expressly granted to you. The license ends if you stop using the Service or if you breach these Terms.

3. How Locked.AI works (and the permissions it asks for)

Locked.AI shields the apps you choose until you earn screen time through real-world action, for example by moving (read from Apple Health), arriving at a place you save such as your gym (a geofence), or snapping a workout photo (verified by AI). It also includes an honest AI coach.

To do this, the app asks your permission to use certain features. You are in control and can change these permissions in your device settings:

• Screen Time / Family Controls: to shield the apps you choose.
• Notifications: to send honest, low-frequency nudges.
• Health: to read movement so you can earn an unlock.
• Location: to detect when you arrive at a place you save (a geofence), which is stored in your account.
• Camera: to take a workout photo, which is sent for verification and then discarded.

Locked.AI uses an account, and your data is stored in your account on our backend. Workout photos are sent for verification and then discarded. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect, where it lives, and the providers we use, and use Export My Data and Delete My Data in the app to manage or remove your information.

4. Subscriptions & auto-renewal

Free tier

Locked.AI includes a generous free tier at no cost: shield 1 app and unlock by Move (movement). No payment is required to use the free tier.

Premium

Premium is an optional, auto-renewing subscription offered at:

• $9.99 / month (product id com.rayo.lockedai.premium.monthly), or
• $99.99 / year (product id com.rayo.lockedai.premium.annual).

Premium unlocks unlimited shielded apps, the gym and photo unlock methods, and the AI coach.

Billing & auto-renewal terms

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings at any time.

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's standard Apple Media Services / EULA terms apply to your purchase, and the standard Apple-provided End User License Agreement governs your use of the app as a licensed application unless we have entered into a separate custom agreement with you.

We do not receive your payment card details. Subscription and purchase transactions are handled by Apple (StoreKit). Prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by region.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Locked.AI lawfully and not to misuse the Service. In particular, you agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using the Service;
• interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its supporting systems (including our AI coach proxy);
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without permission;
• use the Service to send unlawful, harmful, abusive, or harassing content; or
• use the Service to harm a minor or to defeat protections meant to keep the Service minor-safe.

The AI coach generates responses automatically and can be wrong. Use your judgment, and do not rely on it for anything important — see the disclaimers below.

6. Not a medical device

Locked.AI is a self-control and habit aid. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, health, or psychological advice. It is not a substitute for professional care.

Nothing in the app — including the AI coach, movement readings, streaks, or nudges — is medical, mental-health, or fitness advice tailored to you. Always talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing any exercise, health, or wellness routine. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services. You are responsible for deciding what physical activity is safe for you.

7. Disclaimers of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate, that defects will be corrected, that the shield will block every app in every situation, or that movement, geofence, or photo detection will always be correct. Features that depend on Apple frameworks (Screen Time / Family Controls, HealthKit, location, and StoreKit), on our backend and third-party providers, and on your device and network may not work as expected at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, [LEGAL ENTITY] and its owners, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be handled in the courts located in [JURISDICTION], unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at lockedai.app/terms. If a change is significant, we will make reasonable efforts to let you know. Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
